Advice to women about energy usually begins with rebuilding a whole life, and it rarely gets as far as being done. I have three things that I do myself and that fit into an ordinary day without rebuilding that day. They have to do with the earth under your feet, time for yourself and what is on your plate.
Earth under your feet
The first habit is the simplest. Walk at least every day, at least a little, somewhere to a park, to a green square, anywhere. Maybe there are some trees there, some woods, anything.
Find a place like that not far from your home so it is easy to get to. Ideally walk there barefoot for a bit, ground yourself, dance.
And there you are, you have arrived, you have breathed out and you think: everything is fine really, everything is fine, all that stress. It stays somewhere outside that place.
Notice that there are two actions in this habit, and standing on the earth and moving is far better than simply standing: the body releases tension through movement.
Fifteen minutes taken back from the mirror
The second habit looks unexpected in a conversation about feminine energy.
I took a lesson specially from a professional stylist so that I could do my makeup in ten minutes, because I was not very good at it. And I learned to do my makeup in ten minutes.
The point was the time that freed up. Save those most valuable fifteen minutes on makeup and give them to yourself. To be inside, in your own inner beauty. I have many special practices: you saved fifteen minutes on makeup and in those fifteen minutes you did a practice.
The logic here is clean. In the morning a woman has a limited supply of minutes, and all of it goes on the outside. A quarter of an hour taken back from the mirror and given to practice changes the state a woman walks out of the house in far more than the same fifteen minutes spent on a more careful foundation.
Sugar
The third habit touches the body directly, and here I will say it without softening.
Sweet things are good. We need our hormones, we need sweetness, the sensation of sweetness matters to us. But what does sweet mean? Jerusalem artichoke, honey, something like that.
And sugar is very destructive for our emotions, for our hormonal system. We age faster because of it. I try not to go into the details of diet, but this part matters: sugar is worth giving up, and other sweetness can be found.
It applies to children too. Every mother knows that children who sit on sugar turn into little monsters. Help your children not to get hooked on sugar at all.
Why exactly these three
These habits have one thing in common: not one of them asks for a separate hour in the schedule.
A walk in the green square near the house fits into the way home from work. Ten minutes of makeup is freed up once and then works every morning. Giving up sugar takes no time at all, it only takes a decision.
Schemes in which a woman is told first to free up two hours a day and only then to take care of herself do not work. A working woman with children does not have those hours, and it is more honest to admit it. So I choose what fits into life as it is: feet on the earth, a quarter of an hour of attention to myself and a plate without sugar.
One more word about the walk. Choose a quiet place for it, preferably an empty one: a small park, a green square, an alley. A busy boulevard does not let you concentrate and go through your thoughts and feelings, or hear your inner voice.
What stands behind all three
Behind these three habits stands one thought: I am enough. I am enough, I feed myself.
A woman does not have to be someone, to become a president and prove that she amounts to something. You can simply be a woman, and that is enough.
All three habits work for exactly that state. The earth gives the body its support back, the fifteen minutes give attention back to yourself, food stops swinging the emotions. None of it asks for a new life or for a lot of money, and that is the main reason I have managed to keep doing it for years.
